Augusta Band seeks used electronic items

What is collectible and what is not for this drive

In an effort to raise funds AND protect the environment, The Augusta High School Band is collecting used electronic devices.
Here's how it works:
 • Donate your used device (small devices only) to your favorite AHS Band member, or contact Todd Hollis (775-5461) for arrangements. 
• The band will provide an electronic itemized donation receipt for all items received to donors who provide e-mail address.
• After the collection, the band will turn the devices in to a company called UpCycle4Hope who will pay the band for every item collected.
 All proceeds will go towards a trip that the band is planning to take in 2012.

Items that the band IS accepting:  iphones, Android Smartphones, cell phones, Blackberries, video games (PS1-3, Wii, Xbox, PSP, Nintendo DS), video game consoles & handheld games, laptops and netbooks, digital cameras, ipods and MP3 players, tablest and ipads, e-readers, ipod/iphone docking stations, Apple TV, satellite radios, radar detectors, GPS units, digital picture frames, digital camcorders, laptop & cell phone batteries, portable DVD players.....PLEASE INCLUDE BATTERIES AND CHARGERS IF POSSIBLE.

Items that the band is NOT accepting:  printers, computer monitors, desktop computers, computer parts and motherboards, ink cartridges, DVD players/VCRs/Cable Boxes/Sattelite receivers, remote controls, home phones/cordless phones, TVs.

These devices may be left at the Gazette office, 204 E. Fifth Street.
