The Andover Public Schools Board of Education (BOE) has approved the 2010-2011 negotiated agreement with the Andover Education Association (AEA) as ratified by the AEA on Oct. 1.
The agreement includes compensation for educational movement for up to four columns, six-months compensation for one step of experience beginning in March, and a one time payment of $250 in March for staff members who are not eligible to move across for educational credit or down for experience.
"We value all of our employees in Andover Public Schools, and we're pleased to have reached an agreement," said Superintendent of Schools Mark A. Evans.
"The teachers of Andover and the Andover Education Association are dedicated to providing the best education for the patrons of USD 385," said AEA President Cindy Ehrstein. "Our diligent work with the Board of Education brought about a positive solution in tight financial times."
