The Miss Augusta and Miss Butler County Pageants will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday evening in Augusta High School auditorium.
Admission tickets are only $5 and this will be the community’s chance to support local girls competing for scholarship assistance.
In addition to Miss Augusta and Miss Butler County, Miss Augusta Teen and Miss Butler County Teen winners will also be crowned in Saturday night’s event.
The winners will advance to the Miss Kansas pageant in June.
As of Monday there were eight contestants for Miss Augusta and two for Miss Teen Augusta
This week will be the last call for young ladies interested in Miss Teen Augusta/Miss Teen Butler County to call or e-mail Priscilla Stanley;eu (pjstanley@ymail.com) by Wednesday.
Augusta Sunflower princesses are also needed for the Saturday night pageantry. Any girl, age 5 to 12, can be a Princess for a Day. Get crown, on stage with Emily Deaver, our 2008 Miss Kansas, mentor with the contestants, and more. The cost is only $25.
