Can you hear the Thunder?

The Augusta Thunder 14-U fastpitch girls softball team took first place in the Augusta Girls Softball Round-the-Clock last weekend. The kneeling team members are front row (l-r) Madison Marcotte, and Courtney Phillips. Standing and crouched n the second row second row (l-r) are Leslie Burkett, Libby Spencer, Kaitlyn Clark, Jenna Lynch, Whitney Oestmann, Megan Burkett, Desi Hays, Breanna Burkett, and Taryn Wallace. En route to the tourney title, the defeated the El Dorado Aces, Diamond Divas, the Medcine Lodge Cyclones, and SWAT (Softball with Attitude) of northeast Kansas. The Thunder played twice against the Aces before claiming the championship.
