The Augusta Thunder 14-and-under fast pitch softball team went undefeated and won the NAFA national championship game in the Super “C” division in Dodge City this past weekend.

The Thunder defeated Southeastern Colorado by a score of 14-2.

The Thunder also participated in the skills competition, where players compete in various drills, including relays, running bases, pitching and team throwing. The top three players from each competition earned medals.

Megan Burkett won a gold medal for the team throwing competition and a bronze for the relay competition. 

Jenna Lynch and Breanna Burkett also won gold medals in team throwing.

Courtney Phillips won two bronze medals in the relay and base running contests. Leslie Burkett also won a bronze in the relay.
