Broncos beat Twins in Jayhawk play

The El Dorado Broncos scored eight runs in the first three innings Wednesday night on the way to a 12-8 victory over the Derby Twins in Jayhawk League action at Panther Field.


The Broncos scored three in the first, one in the second and four in the third off Twins’ losing pitcher Austin Etling and reliever Justin Fleming to take control of the game. El Dorado also scored a pair of runs in the sixth and eighth innings.


First baseman Tanner Rindles went 2-for-3 with a home run, a stolen base and three RBIs for the Broncos in the win, while designated hitter Matt Davis also hit a home run and had three RBIs.


Josh Willimont was the winning pitcher for El Dorado.


Catcher Jeff Talliferro went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs to lead Derby.
