Who does the City Council and the Mayor think they’re fooling by saying fireworks will only be fired off for 15 minutes on New Year’s Day?  The fireworks laws aren’t enforced on the Fourth of July.  There should be a fine, not a slap on the hand.

Global warming by nature, no one denies.  Extreme periods have been Ice Ages and the formations of deserts -- all this long before man was formed.  The idea of global warming as seen by Al Gore and others is caused by man.  Man can neither cause or alter global warming.  No amount of aerosol spray or curly light bulbs will change nature.  Money and the power of money is the vehicle behind man made global warming, nothing more- nothing less.  Fortunes are being made from people needing a cause to follow.  I believe Kent Bush sees the difference between the two global warmings -- just laughing at all of  you that are being led astray and being parted of your money.

Some time ago a reckless teen was speeding on the lake road, hit a tree and careened toward the bank.   The city then cut down the tree --probably one of the largest and oldest cottonwoods in the area.  Let’s get tough on the drivers, not the trees.  Ban the cars.

The parking situation that will develop from the middle school gym being built right on the street is not the problem of the Parrys, the Headleys or any other residents or businesses in that area.  They should not be bothered by poor planning by the Board of Education.

I’ve been reading all the comments regarding walking and biking trail around our City Lake.  As an old person who enjoys taking people who aren’t able to walk or bike around the lake, I would like to see it left alone -- because there’s people who enjoy the scenery around our beautiful lake.

I’m tired of all the people whining about cars driving around the lake.  We’ve built a very nice pathway for the bikers, the walkers and dog walkers.  Please, leave the road open for the drivers.  I happen to be handicapped and I can’t walk around there.  I enjoy driving around the lake.  So much for you whiners.
