I agree with Deputy Superintendent, John Black, when he states they do not want to cut teaching positions should it become necessary to cut the budget. The reduction proposals were fine. However, I would like to suggest that he look inward to administration costs. Surely there are a few positions/salaries that could be cut in that area. The savings from cutting the salaries in administration positions would be much greater and the effect on the students would be much less than any cuts in teaching positions.

There all kinds of ways to save money and it’s good to see that the school district is finally taking steps to making cuts. It’s too bad that there will have to be more.
