I think Augusta City employees shouldn’t be allowed to smoke on City property. It’s a hazard to their health, other’s health, and raises in insurance rates. I’ve seen some take too many cigarette breaks and not be totally focused on their job.

To the Viewpointer who responded to my Viewpoint -- how do you know I haven’t tried anything to make things better in Augusta? I’ve been here 43 years. After all the downtown improvements and there are still no more businesses downtown. Augusta can’t keep anything or get any new places. I’m not such a negative neighbor.
