To the Gazette:
The Miss Augusta Organization wishes to take the opportunity to thank the Augusta community, along with the Wichita and Andover area, for the wonderful support.
Without community support our pageant scholarship program would not be possible. This program allows young women to earn scholarships, gain confidence and poise and it also allows the young women to achieve personal and professional goals.
We want to to take the time to thank Emily Deaver, Miss Kansas 2008, for her help and assistance; to the Augusta Gazette for the outstanding coverage, and to USD 402 for the use of the high school and the wonderful new auditorium. And last, but not least, a big thank you to the great volunteers backstage.
To our new titleholders, we look forward to preparing you for the state competition.
We are truly grateful to all the businesses who contributed funds and in-kind services. We appreciate the wonderful support.
