Have you ever considered all the things you should be happy about, but are ignored because you simply expect them and take them for granted?
First of all, I am happy I'm alive. I feel vibrant and ready to live fully.
I'm happy for good eyesight and hearing.
I'm happy for good health and a life without physical pain.
I'm happy about my up-bringing, although in younger years it seemed pretty rigid. Going to Sunday school and church services increased my interest in the better things in life.
I learned the Ten Commandments. I not only benefited from what was being said, I learned the meaning of new words and tried to use them.
I'm happy that I was taught to use them.
I'm happy that I was taught about God. I became afraid of Him and tried to do the right thing so He wouldn't be angry with me.
I happily remember these things and find they're beneficial even today.
