The internment of the cremated remains of Doris Mitchell, former Augusta resident and school teacher will be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Mrs. Mitchell, 88, died Wednesday, April 29, 2009.
She taught second grade at Garfield Elementary School. She also taught piano lessons to young children and did tutoring in the areas of reading and math - even after her retirement.
She is survived by her son, Tom and his wife Mary Helen Mitchell.
Those who remember her are invited to attend and use the cemetery’s 12th St. entrance.
