PFC Erin Michael Thomas, 20, soldier at Fort Bliss, Texas, passed away Friday, June 19, 2009 near Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas from injuries resulting from an automobile accident.
Visitation 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, and service 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, all at Headley Funeral Chapel,Augusta.. Military graveside rites will follow at Kuster Cemetery, Augusta.
Erin was born in Wichita on March 24, 1989. He graduated from Augusta High School in 2008. On Aug. 8, 2008, he married Kayla Marie Thomas at Fort Jackson, Columbia, SC.
In addition to his wife he is survived by: daughter, Gracie Brayleen King Thomas; parents, Victor and Denise Lange; sister, Amber May; mother and father-in-law, Kim and Norman Hill; and father-in-law, Darryl King.
Erin was a loving husband and a devoted father.
