Andover author Robert Collins will be conducting a one-day workshop for aspiring authors and experienced writers looking for new ideas. Collins is the author of novels ("Lisa's Way"), nonfiction ("Ghost Railroads of Kansas", the Jim Lane biography). and is a columnist for Scoopfire, Andover's online newspaper.
Collins’ program will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the library in Central Park.
Main topics to be addressed at this workshop include: The Four Themes, Fiction & Nonfiction, Starting Short, Getting Published.
If time permits, the following topics will be addressed: Creating Characters, Developing a Plot, Dialogue, Revision, Finding Ideas.
Questions will be encouraged during the workshop. Reservations are recommended, but not required.
