Heavy snow is expected across portions of southeast Kansas tonight and Friday.
The storm system was expected to track into the southern plains region this afternoon toward the Missouri Ozarks.
Snowfall is expected to be heaviest along the Kansas-Oklahoma state line.
Precipitation may initially begin as freezing drizzle or light sleet changing over to sleet and snow.
