A Wichita woman has died of injuries suffered in a two-car crash on the Whitewater River bridge a half mile west of Augusta Saturday night.
Olivia D. Salander, 25, Wichita, was taken to Wesley Medical Center following the 10 p.m. traffic accident. She died early Sunday morning at the hospital.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reports Salander was driver of an eastbound vehicle in westbound lanes of U.S. 54 Highway. Her vehicle, a 1999 Suzuki, struck the side of bridge, overturned, and then struck a second vehicle.
JoAnn McBride, 39, Augusta, was driver of the second car, a 2005 Pontiac. She was not injured.
