Two silent  films will be shown Saturday night  when the Augusta Arts Council hosts “Silent Movie Night."
Buster Keaton stars in both black and white movies  -“The General” (1926)  and “The Balloonatic” (1923). They will be shown at the downtown theatre, 523 State, beginning a 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Admission costs will be $8 and $7 for seniors.
The Kansas Arts Commission will provide a five-piece  Mont Alto Motion Picture orchestra to provide music for these silent films.
In addition to the Kansas Arts Commission, the special night will be sponsored locally by Verus Bank of Augusta, Wal-Mart of Augusta, and Spencer Wernli Financial Consultants, Inc.
