Lance Hilton was named 2009 Volunteer Firefighter of the Year during the annual meeting of the Augusta Volunteer Firemen.
Others who were honored for their service: Andy Hall - five years; Aaron Hall - five years; Kip Richardson - 10 years, and Ron Reavis - 35 years.
