In other recent business, the Council:
• Approved a cereal malt beverage beer license (not for consumption on premises) for the Dillons store.
• Approved a first time beer license for the Valero station/convenience store.

Council members Sheri Geisler and Clark Nelson said the recent public hearings on refuse/recycling produced a lot of good comment, but the effort is “still a work in progress.” Councilwoman Caroline Hale added, “I’ve heard so much trashy talk that I feel I need to be recycled myself.”
