A non-injury accident occurred at 4th and Walnut when a local juvenile operating a 1998 GMC truck left the scene after striking three vehicles, parked and unattended. A 1975 Ford truck owned by Candice Godwin, Augusta, sustained $500 in damages, a 1997 Chevrolet Suburban, owned by Timothy W. Griffith, Augusta, sustained $3,500 in damages, and a 1995 Oldsmobile Aurora in the possession of Superior Auto, Augusta, sustained $3,500 in damages. The truck was later located and found to have approximately $400 in damages. The juvenile was arrested for driving under the influence, duty to report an accident, obstruction of legal process, and reckless driving.

An injury accident occurred in the 1100 block of Osage when a 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier operated by Nikita S. Benfer, Augusta, was southbound and struck a 1979 Ford Mustang owned by Kirk A. Gillis, Augusta. Damage to the Benfer vehicle is estimated at $3,000 and damages to the Benfer vehicle estimated at $1,000.
