Officers responded to the report of an injury accident in the intersection of 7th and Lulu. The accident occurred when a 2001 GMC, owned and operated by Christopher J. Martin, Augusta, was westbound on 7th and was struck by a 2001 Hyundai, owned and operated by Brian L. Grundeman, Wichita. Damage to the GMC was estimated at $500 and damage to the Hyundai estimated at $2,500.

A non-injury accident occurred in the 1100 block of Euclid when a 2002 Chevrolet truck, operated by James J. Beckley IV, Augusta, was backing from a private drive and struck a 2006 Ford Explore, owned by Harold W. Scheaffer, Rose Hill. Damage to the Scheaffer vehicle estimated at $2,000. No damage was done to the Beckley vehicle. Beckley was cited for no proof of insurance.

A non-injury accident occurred in the Augusta High School parking lot when a 2000 Saturn, owned by Mohammed M. Reza, Augusta and operated by Ferdousi Rafeza, Augusta, was unable to stop and struck a barrier owned by USD 402. Reza’s vehicle received approximately $1,500 in damage and no damage was done to the barrier.
