The Augusta Board of Education elected new officers for the 2010-2011 fiscal year at Monday night’s meeting.
Bill Rinkenbaugh was elected president, and Jim Brown was elected vice president. Rinkenbaugh, who is employed as Vice President for Student Services at Butler Community College, has served on the local Board of Education for three years.
Brown, who attended last night’s meeting via phone conference, has also served on the Augusta board for three years.
When an impasse is reached, a federal mediator is contacted to facilitate the two groups in reaching an agreement.
