Rural Water District #8 is hosting a reception in honor of Sara Ralston from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, at the Rose Room, 101 S. Rose Hill Rd. in Rose Hill.
Sara Ralston was first elected to the board of directors of Rural Water District #8 at the annual meeting in February of 1986. She retired from the board in February of this year.
She had near perfect attendance at the monthly board meetings. She helped to provide guidance for RWD #8 through three major expansions and numerous smaller projects.
Sara and her late husband, Clee Ralston, were among the original customers when the water district started distribution of water in November of 1982.
