Don and Jean Lewis of Douglass will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a family gathering at the home of their son and daughter-in-law in Newton.
 Don Lewis and Jean James were married May 26, 1958 in Arkansas City, KS.  They have three children, Galen (Mary) of Omaha, NE, Burke (Renee) of Newton, and Luana of El Dorado.  The couple has two grandchildren, Tyler and Colter of Omaha, NE.
Don taught industrial arts at Andover for 37 years and Jean taught third grade for 34 years at Douglass before they both retired in 1995. 
Their children are asking for a card shower to help their parents celebrate.
