An open house will be held to celebrate John D. Jackson’s 80th birthday from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 430 Eunice, El Dorado.
John was born in Goodwater, Okla. and began work as a young man at Beech Aircraft, which was interrupted by his Army service during the Korean War. He retired from Beech after 42 years.
John married Wanda Francis in 1956. She passed away in 1996. He married Ruth Thompson in 1999.
John has two daughters, Tammy Fleming of Millbrook, Ala., and Shirley Windholz of Augusta, and a stepson, Thane Thompson of Cincinnati, Ohio.
