Awards
The boys soccer team ceremony that was scheduled for last night was postponed until 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12. There was a conflict of schedules with the choir, which performed last night.
The football team will have its award night at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10. Both teams will give out awards to individuals as voted by the coaches.
League meetings will be Monday, Nov. 9 to determine the athletes for the first and second teams for the Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail League. Coach-of-the-year and honorable-mention awards will be named as well.
Football
This weekend is the third annual Andover-Matt Crowder Memorial football tournament. 32 teams from Andover, Augusta, El Dorado, Derby, Rose Hill and other teams in the Mid-States Junior Football League from surrounding areas will compete in the tournament.
The games will be played at Andover District Stadium starting at 6 p.m. this Friday, and it goes throughout the weekend.
All proceeds go to the Andover District athletic funds, which will include scholarships for athletes.
