Consideration will be given to a second parking area for handicapped individuals on the west side of 500 block of State Street during Monday night’s meeting of the Augusta City Council.
Such an access area has already been contoured from curb to street in front of the Augusta Theatre, 523 State.
A change order for the downtown Streetscape Project has been prepared for Council discussion.
The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the upstairs councilroom of City Hall, Sixth & School.
In another piece of New Business, the governing body will look at a residential zoning change in the City’s Growth Area at 4852 SW 70th Street.
A taxiway signage agreement for Augusta Municipal Airport between the City and the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) will be presented for action.
United Missouri Bank has proposed an employee purchase card program for the City of Augusta. It will be taken up Monday evening.
A settlement agreement between the City and Wilson & Co. over problems with the wastewater treatment plan on U.S. 77 South is listed for consideration under an executive session near the end of Monday night’s meeting.
Regular meetings of the Augusta Council are televised over cable Channel 7 and each agenda provides for public comments.
