The fireworks over Augusta City Lake entertained thousands of people Saturday night.

The group of local businesses and organizations that “rescued” this year’s public show at the City Lake after it had been canceled due to a lack of a major sponsor include:

• Sharp Realty & Auction
• Lakepoint Nursing Center
• Go Mart (at Belmont and Ohio)
