Winter storm watch remains in effect  for our area from Sunday evening through Monday evening...

Here's an updated winter forecast for our area from the National Weather Service (7:30 a.m. Monday):

Tonight: Snow. Low around 31. Light east wind. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of around 3 inches.

Monday: Snow. High near 32. Breezy, with a calm wind becoming north between 17 and 20 mph. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of around 2 inches.

Monday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow before midnight. Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 12. Wind chill values as low as -4. Blustery, with a north northwest wind between 16 and 21 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 25. Wind chill values as low as -5. Blustery, with a north northwest wind between 13 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 8. North northwest wind between 3 and 10 mph.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 30.

Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 21
