Augusta's middle school boys basketball teams had no trouble with El Dorado Thursday night. The Bluejays won all four games by at least 20 points.
The 8th-grade A team defeated the Wildcats 43-20 with balanced scoring. Kade Trebbe led the team with nine points. Jayden Reynolds had eight, Dallin Marlnee had seven, while Jake Becker and Raef Hilt both scored six points.
In the 8th-grade B game, Trey Wesbrooks scored a team-high 13 points to lead the Bluejays to a 47-21 win. Dalton Eberhardt scored seven and Collin Eldringoff added six for Augusta.
In 7th-grade action, Noah Johnson put together a big game by finishing with 20 points to lead the A team to a 48-16 win. Nate Kelley also was in double figures with 10 points. Clay Wesbrooks added eight.
Corbin Collier scored a dozen points while Seth McGuire and Dylan Stevenson both added eight to lead the B team to a 47-12 blowout win.
B teams split games at Goddard tournament
Both Augusta's 7th- and 8th-grade B teams went 1-1 at the Goddard B team tournament.
Daelen Shupe scored nine points and Trey Wesbrooks added six, but the 8th-grade Bluejays lost their opener to Goddard. They bounced back with a win against Valley Center.
The 7th-graders won a low-scoring game against Valley Center 20-16. Corbin Collier led Augsuta with six points.
In the second game, Goddard got off to a fast start with a 14-5 first quarter. The Bluejays slowly came back, but Goddard held on for a 29-26 win. Collier led the team with 10 points. Colton Barnett added five.
