Giovinazzo receives 25 to life for murder

Lyndsey Giovinazzo was sentenced to 25 years to life in the murder of Augusta resident Loyce Cody.

Giovinazzo had pleaded guilty to first degree murder, then tried to withdraw her plea, but that motion was denied.

Giovinazzo was arrested for the murder along with Jacob Hoyt, whose trial was set to begin this past Monday, but was postponed.
