Youth basketball registrations available

Registrations to participate in Augusta Youth Basketball now are available for boys and girls in 1st through 6th grade.
Anyone interested may visit www.augustayouthbasketball.com to download registration forms. Forms also will come in elementary school packets, and are available at Stricklers Shoes in Downtown Augusta, where forms can be turned in. The deadline to register is Nov. 1.
There will be two different leagues. Kids in 1st through 4th grade will play in an all-Augusta league, and the cost will be $50. Kids in 5th and 6th grade will compete in the Greater Butler County Basketball League, which includes teams from Andover, Douglass and Rose Hill. Cost for this league will be $60. Anyone who signs up after Nov. 1 will have to pay $80 if there is space available on a team.
Registration fees include a shirt. There is a $10 discount for siblings.
