Obituary: Alpha Jean Mahlandt

Alpha Jean Mahlandt, age 81, homemaker of Rose Hill, passed away Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012.

Visitation 1-8 p.m. Sunday, and 1-6 p.m. Monday, with family present 4-6 p.m., Monday, Smith Mortuary, Derby. Funeral service 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, Christ Lutheran Church, Augusta.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Vern; parents, Lloyd and Bertha Mae Duvall; daughter, Pamela McCoy; brother, Travis; granddaughter, Jennifer Keiter; and daughter-in-law, Catherine Beer Mahlandt.

Survivors: son, Kerry, Rose Hill; daughters, Joyce (Darrell) Cook, Burden, Judy (Kenn) Wealand, Cedar Point, Terrie (Bob) Gould, Douglass, Gay Mahlandt, Rose Hill; sisters, Alta Dene Hogan, Sun Ray, Texas, and Shirley Roberts, Canyon, Texas; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
