  • Cova June (Lofton) Potter, 92, Augusta, homemaker, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, at Lakepoint of Augusta.

    Viewing will be from 1-5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, visitation with family greeting friends and family from 5-7 p.m. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 17, all in the Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.

    Cova was born Oct. 29, 1919, to Lester and Lulu (Scammell) Lofton in Carney, Okla. She married Merle Allen Potter on Oct. 29, 1936, in Stillwater, Okla.

    Her survivors include: son, Edward Potter and his wife Darlene of Leon; daughter, Norma Wilson and her husband Jerry of Orange Park, Fla.; 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

    Cova was preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Merle Potter in 2007; grandson, Aaron Wilson; brothers, Roscoe, Everett and Harley Lofton; sisters, Ruth Pickett and Hazel Thomas.

    A memorial has been established with the Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home.
