Single-A Legion ball starts next week
Augusta High’s baseball coach Doug Jefferson will be coaching the American Legion Single-A baseball team this summer. The Orioles begin their summer season with a home doubleheader against Andover Central Thursday, May 31.
The Triple-A legion team, coached by Jay Ingalls, will begin its season June 4 at McPherson. The team’s home opener is June 9 against Nickerson.
All games are doubleheaders and are scheduled for 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
The AAA team still has a few spots for boys ages 19 and younger. Anyone who is interested in playing may contact Ingalls at 775-2618 or 214-3611.American Legion A schedule
